Training for work credit

The SOC is opening up a line of interest-free loans for unemployed people, to undertake courses for professional improvement.

Types of interest

Credit will be awarded for an amount, as a maximum, of 100% of the course fees, plus 10% for expenses for materials or other costs related to attendance and undertaking of the course, with a minimum of 1,000 euros and a maximum of 6,000 euros per person beneficiary.

The paying back period for the credit, for loans of sums between 1,000 and 2,000 euros will 4 years with 1 year postponement period included, and for amounts between 2,000 euros and 6,000 euros it will be 6 years, with 1 year postponement period included.

The loan will be paid back on a fixed monthly basis, as from the postponement period.

The persons interested in requesting the credit have to address to their office of Work, where the guiding staff will appraise and he will prescribe the training to carry out. Collaborators with the program are the financial entities:

• Banc Sabadell
• Caixa Catalunya
• Caixa Tarragona
• La Caixa

Beneficiaries

The beneficiary persons of these loans have to fulfill the following requirements:

• Being in situation of unemployment and being registered in the Servei d'Ocupació de Catalunyaa month before the date of presentation of the request.
• Having worked a minimum of 4 months along 2 years immediately former to the date of presentation of the request.
• That an adviser of an Work Office has detected a formative need, which realization can improve the professional possibilities of the unemployed person and has prescribed its realization.
• Having a bank account in one of the financial entities collaborators of the program in the moment of presenting the request.
• Not figuring in the Register of Unpaid Acceptances (RAI)
