Temporary program of protection for unemployment and insertion

Definition

The temporary protection programme for unemployment and insertion is aimed at providing extraordinary economic support for those who have run out of unemployment benefits, have no income and register the commitment to participate in the Active Labour Insertion Route.

Requisites

• Aged less than 65
• Registered as a jobseeker
• Having run out of unemployment benefit between 1/01/2009 and 15/02/2010 and without any right to ordinary benefit for unemployment
• Not have income higher than 75% of the Inter-professional Minimum Salary excluding the proportional part of the extra holiday payments
• If the person has parents and/or spouse, and/or children aged less than 26 or old people or disabled elderly or foster children who live with them or are under their supervision, the income of the family unit, including that of the applicant, divided by the number of family members is not higher than 75% of the Inter-professional Minimum Salary excluding the proportional part of the extra holiday payments

Presentation of applications

• Benefit runs out between 1 January and 30 July:  60 days as from the 13 November.
• If benefit runs out after 16 August: 60 days following the ending of benefit.

Where

At your Work Office from 8.15 a.m. to 1.30 p.m.

Documentation required

• Printed application form correctly filled out and signed (in all cases it must include all the members of the family unit)
• ID card of all the members of the family unit
• Family Registration Book of the applicant, if appropriate
• Family book of the applicant's parents (in the case of living with the parents or that they are economically dependent)
• Separation or divorce papers, if appropriate
• Original and photocopy of documentation accrediting the income of all the members of the family unit corresponding to the month before the application

Obligations of the beneficiaries

Register for the commitment to activity referred to in article 231.2 Of the General Law of Social Security and promise to undertake the distinct activities that the SOC specify within an Active labour Insertion Route.

Length and quantity of the benefit

An economic benefit of a maximum duration of 6 months and of a sum of 420 euros monthly.

Beginning of the benefit

As from the day after the application.

• Law 14/2009, of the 11 November, which regulates the temporary protection programme for unemployment and insertion.
