Training for workers and unemployed to undertake training actions linked to the Professional Qualification Catalogue

Official notification for 2008 - EXPIRED

The Servei d'Ocupació de Catalunya (SOC), through this official notification, promotes the awarding of subsidies for undertaking training actions for employment linked to the current Professional Qualification Catalogue.

These actions are chiefly aimed at unemployed workers with the aim of obtaining the appropriate professional qualification for entering into the labour market in jobs that are needed today by the productive system, or in order to maintain their job or gain professional promotion.

On these lines, an important innovation for this year is that the training offer has been programmed in accordance with not only the needs for professional qualifications of workers, but also with those of the current labour market; moreover, employed workers will also have access to these actions.

Beneficiaries

The entities subscribed to the register of training entities corresponding to the Servei d'Ocupació de Catalunya and which have the training specialities they wish to undertake certified, prior to the issuing of this Resolution.

Target groups

The training actions are chiefly aimed at unemployed people, but employed workers may also take part on the condition that they are registered with the Servei d'Ocupació de Catalunya.

The participation of unemployed people will be al least 60%.

The priority groups are:

• People at risk of social exclusion.
• People who have been unemployed for more than 6 months.
• Unemployed people aged over 45.
• Women in order to reduce the imbalance in trades where they are under-represented.
• Young people seeking their first job.
• Physically, psychically, mentally or sensory disabled people.

Funding

28,000,000 euros. Co-funded by the FSE.

Regulation

• Order TRE/338/2008, of the 4 July, which aproves the rules for the subsidies relating to preparing programmes for undertaking training actions aimed mainly at unemployed workers promoted by the Servei d'Ocupació de Catalunya.
