Employment plans and actions of the employment orientation network

The Servei d'Ocupació de Catalunya, through this official notification, promotes the employing of unemployed people to undertake activities of a temporary nature and of general and social interest, and orientation actions to improve the position in the market of jobseekers.

Beneficiary entities

The following entities may take part in this official notification::

1. Local entities of less than 30,000 inhabitants.
   Employment plan projects may also be applied for by local entities of more than 30,000 inhabitants that have no employment plans awarded for 2009 for the sum of more than 30,000 euros.
2. Non-profit entities and institutions and public universities based in Catalonia. Regarding the non profit entities and institutions exclusively, those that have community intervention or employment insertion as an objective of their statutes, generators of employment in the case of employment plans and which have as an objective in their statutes employment orientation in the case of projects of the employment orientation network.

People it is aimed at

Beneficiaries of the actions planned in this Order are unemployed people registered in the Work offices as jobseekers..

The employment plan projects must address exclusively unemployed workers that have used up their unemployment loan/benefit and have no income in the family unit or centre of family coexistence. Moreover, the following groups will be given preference:

1. Unemployed workers aged over 52 that are not receiving unemployment benefit.
2. Women who have suffered from violent abuse.
3. People with a physical, psychic, mental or sensorial disability.
4. The unemployed workers that have undertaken their professional activity as self-employed and who have no right to any subsidy and/or assistance.

More information

A family unit is understood as coexistence of group through marriage or another similar stable relationship, through blood relationship, adoption or up to second degree of affinity. Similarly, the centre of family coexistence is considered the total of two or more family units who live in the same house and are related according to the specifications established by the family units.

Funding

For individual paths to insertion - 5,000,000 euros.

For occupation plans - 18,500,000 euros with co-funding from the ESF..

Regulation

• Order TRE/235/2009, of the 8 May, which establishes the regulatory rules and opens the official notification for 2009 for the awarding of subsidies for undertaking employment plans and for actions of the employment orientation network.
