The TIC Area of the SOC wins the Prize @asLAN in the category of Autonomic Administration

Recognition to the actions in order to renew the demand in the telematic way

The project El segellat de l'atur a Catalunya: la multicanalitat per absorbir la sobredemanda has been recognized with the first National Prize @asLAN, conceded by the "Associació d'Empreses Proveïdores de Sistemes de Xarxa i Telecomunicacions", in the call Cases of TIC success in the Administrations and the Public Organisms 2010 (category of Autonomic Administration).

The project, developed by the TIC Area of the Servei d'Ocupació de Catalunya (SOC), encompasses a group of technological works that, in spite of being independent among them, integrate into a same final objective: offering the citizenship the possibility to renew its demand of employment in a non presential way, through Internet, the telephone of Generalitat de Catalunya 012 or the different points of self-service established in offices of Work or other points of civic attention.

In 2009, 62,5% of the renewal of the demand of employment -carried out by the SOC- was carried out for telematic way.Besides, thanks to the implantation and the deployment of the "Punts d'Autoservei (PAS)" in the Work offices, this percentage has continued increasing, until arrives at 88% in February 2010. In absolute figures, a total of 132.911 workers processed their renewal of employment demand through Internet, the 012 or the PAS during February.

This project also intends through the starting of these new ways to renew the demand of employment, the staff of the offices will be able to dedicate himself with more depth to the orientation and the advice of the working persons.
