This extraordinary official notification is addresses to local entities
From the 27 of March 2010, councils and local entities affected by the snowfall this March can apply for an extraordinary subsidy from the Servei d'Ocupació de Catalunya for undertaking occupational plans that have the aim of both cleaning up the woods and tree-filled areas and recovering paths and river-beds, and other publicly-owned spaces, which do not come under the category of strategic interventions.
The organisms that obtain this subsidy must use it -exclusively- to fund the costs of hiring unemployed workers registered as jobseekers in the Servei d'Ocupació de Catalunya. Moreover, the workers must have at least six months registered as a jobseeker and not have started any occupational plan in the same period. Moreover, the occupational plans undertaken must have a minimum length of three months and be full-time.
For the entities that wish to apply for this subsidy -only one can be applied for per entity-, there is a deadline that ends on the 9 of April 2010.
