Treball als barris - Working in the neighbourhoods

Official notification for 2008

El Servei d'Ocupació de Catalunya through the "Work in the Districts" Project, promotes the undertaking of actions that are complementary to the Districts Law, in occupational matters and in local development, the beneficiaries of which are the inhabitants of districts that have projects approved for integral intervention by the Departament de Política Territorial i Obres Públiques of the Generalitat de Catalunya within that stipulated by Law 2/2004, of the 4th of June.

At present there is a total of 92 districts that have an approved integral intervention project within that stipulated by this Law, and therefore, are able to include the Work in the Districts project promoted by the Servei d'Ocupació de Catalunya this year.

In the 2007 official notification a total of 56 districts in 47 towns in Catalonia benefited from subsidies through this initiative.

Beneficiaries

The local entities in Catalonia that have projects approved of integral intervention in districts or urban areas, by the Departament de Política Territorial i Obres Públiques, since 2004 and within that stipulated by Law 2/2004, of the 4th of June, later extended by Decree 369/2004, of the 7th of September.

Funding

20.000.000 euros.

Regulation

• Decree 369/2004, (PDF, 97 kB) of 7 September, through which Law 2/2004, of the 4 June, on the improvement of neighbourhoods and urban areas and towns that require special attention is developed. (DOGC - State Gazetteer - 4215 - 09/09/2004).
• The specific regulation of each action or of the programmes of active employment and local development policies is referred to in the guide of technical prescriptions and guide for the preparation of the annual operational plan .
• Resolution TRE/2369/2008, of the 25th of July, through which the official notification for 2008 is opened for the awarding of subsidies within the framework of the Work in the Districts Project..
