The Government of the Generalitat de Catalunya, in accordance with that established in the Government Plan 2007-2010, which states the desire to strengthen the region's structure, compensate inequalities, and boost the development of the areas with less economic dynamism or those within Catalonia that are particularly depopulated, passed, in the Agreement of the 22nd of January 2008, the Plan of Initiatives for County Rejuvenation (IDC) for the four counties in Catalonia with most need for economic reactivation: Anoia, Pallars Jussà, Ripollès and la Terra Alta.
The Servei d'Ocupació de Catalunya through the "Treball a les 4 comarques" - Work in the 4 counties Project, promotes the undertaking of employment and local development projects complementary to the Plan of Initiatives for County Rejuvenation, in the counties of Pallars Jussà, Ripollès, Anoia and la Terra Alta.
The local entities of the 4 counties included in the Plan of Initiatives for County Rejuvenation, its autonomous organisations and the entities dependent on or linked to these with responsibilities in questions of local development and employment promotion, in accordance with that established by Law 2/2003, of the 28th of April, which passes the amended Text of the Municipal and Local Law of Catalonia.
